I was raised in a small Colombian town where fresh fruits and vegetables were a part of everyday life. Accompanying my parents to local growers, I grew up with a deep appreciation for food in its purest form—straight from the earth. The rich aromas and flavors of these freshly picked ingredients were part of my childhood, but what stayed with me most was the kindness and dedication of the growers themselves. Yet, I also saw the challenges they faced—wasted produce, difficult living conditions, and a lack of support for their hard work. These memories planted a seed in me, a desire to help the very community that nourished us all.
As I grew older, the importance of whole, minimally processed foods became more evident. My mother’s home-cooked meals, made with care and fresh, natural ingredients, were more than just sustenance—they were acts of love. It wasn’t until I left Colombia and relocated to The United States, that I fully realized the significance of this upbringing. My diet changed drastically, and within a year, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, anemia, and low vitamin D. I was feeling tired all the time and with constant headaches. The difficulty of finding truly nutritious, natural foods in my new environment motivated me to bring a piece of my homeland to others. Pacific Soul was born from this desire, blending my personal journey with my professional background in chemical engineering.
Together with a network of experts and local farmers in Colombia, we harnessed technology to create products that maintain the essence and nutrition of fresh fruits, all while supporting sustainable practices. Pacific Soul isn’t just about good food; it’s about creating meaningful connections—to do good and feel great – from the grower to the consumer. We are committed to reducing food waste, fighting biodiversity loss, and improving the lives of the farmers who work tirelessly to provide these superfoods.
The birth of my daughter further strengthened this mission. Wanting to provide her with the same foundation of health and wellness that I had, I began creating meals for her from scratch—using natural, wholesome ingredients, free from additives or preservatives. Her joy in eating freeze-dried fruits from Colombia, turned into healthy, no-sugar-added snacks, inspired me to share this gift with others.
